Understanding ERCP:
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is a specialized procedure that combines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat conditions of the bile ducts, pancreas, and gallbladder. During the procedure, a flexible tube (endoscope) is passed through the mouth, esophagus, and stomach into the duodenum, allowing the doctor to visualize and treat obstructions, stones, or strictures in the bile or pancreatic ducts.
Stenting in ERCP:
